GIVING TUESDAY 🙏 A huge thank you to everyone who GIVING TUESDAY 🙏

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed towards or bought gifts for our annual Christmas party for needy children in our Valley.

We dropped off the gifts with the team this morning as this year we won’t be involved in the party itself (as I’ve been unwell). They were so appreciative and we will receive photos on Sunday once the kids have received their gifts.

Thank you too to our donor who donated 27 cakes for this party as well!

You can help us to provide shoes and uniforms for 20 learners at Umzamo and St Lawerence Primary School’s in KwaNyuswa who are facing financial hardships and lack access to basic school supplies.

By addressing these needs, we can significantly impact their educational experience and overall well-being.

“The gift of uniform, is a gift of self worth, pride and dignity”

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps create a positive change in our community. Together, we can ensure that every child feels confident and prepared for school, fostering a generation of empowered learners.

May this season be a GIFT, not a rush! Tis the se May this season be a GIFT, not a rush!

Tis the season to be… busy?!!! Perhaps, like us, if u were to sum up your race to the festive season, the word BUSY would tick the box. But as I reread this, I can’t help but think somehow we’ve got it all wrong?! Busy was never in our design. And if anything, I’ve noticed this year a very real RESTLESSNESS in our society which I believe comes from embracing ‘busy’ for too long.

We spent a glorious morning on the Umgeni Steam Train this morning and as always, public transport takes me back to when we lived in Asia in 2013/2014. I love travel-time that has no agenda. I think I mostly love it because rest isn’t high on my daily agenda. And yet the beauty found in putting your head out the window and staring at the passing sights of nature and life, is unmatched.

My encouragement in these last few weeks of the year is THIS: May this season be a GIFT, not a rush! May you find moments carved out for joy, connection and rest. May you connect with yourself and offer yourself the gift of reflection of a year passed. And may you find your soul at rest.
Bridging Gaps - the words that landed in my head a Bridging Gaps - the words that landed in my head and heart a few years ago and ones I try to live by everyday.

Today I had the joy of connecting the @thegracefactory with our government clinics in our Valley of 1000 Hills. We distributed baby bags to mums and mums-to-be and secured a connection between The Grace Factory and @thevalleytrust going forward. Hallelujah!!!

PS: This specific clinic is in desperate need of a revamp: any paint, plaster, waterproofing help would be so appreciated 🙏
