I felt this message burning in my spirit today and I felt this message burning in my spirit today and I shared it with my kids as we drove to church. Our preacher then preached the extended but exact word God had just stirred in my heart. I sat in honest shock. Friends, if you're fearful for tomorrow - know that He sees your fear. It's real and it's expected. But more importantly know that we DO NOT fight these battles in the physical. So let's stand in prayer for tomorrow friends in SA. Let's pray for peace over our land. For the light of God to shine here and for the darkness to disappear. There is HOPE.

I was gifted this book at my special friend & well-known Psychologists' @paulbushellwellness Book Launch at the magnificent newly opened @backworthhouse in Eston. This journal, beautifully illustrated by artist, @victoria_verbaan_style, is designed to give parents space to unwind, reflect, grow and feel encouraged on their parenting journey. It is truly the most exquisite book and makes for a beautiful Baby Shower gift or gift for a mum in any stage of parenting. It just so happened that I'd had a bit of a rough evening with my own kids the night before this book launch. I arrived feeling heavy with undealt-with emotion but I cannot tell you how the joint experience of time in the gardens at Backworth House and time spent journaling in this book, helped shift my state. Walking by faith that I am healed. The hardest roa Walking by faith that I am healed. The hardest road by far that I've walked but I'm beyond grateful for the lessons I've learnt along the way! My journey started off as sever pelvic pain in Noah's pregnancy in 2017. Bedrest. Then 2 years later I tore my glute whilst training for the Otter Run and this obviously retriggered nerve pain in my pelvis. In 2020 I had to learn to self catheterize as my bladder stopped completely, in response to the nerve pain which causes muscle spasms. This lasted 2 years - some good months, others catherizing full time. My movement is limited as movement is what causes my pain hence lots of sitting, praying, crying too. It's been a very long and difficult road. I'm closer now though to the healing I long for, than I've ever been before. For the past year I've had multiple pelvic nerve blocks done every 6 weeks in hospital and more recently ablation done of my one abdominal nerve - basically killing it off. I have good weeks now and then bad ones when I overdo it and my body and brain forget that I'm allowed to LIVE again. But out of my pain has come enormous growth. I've learnt to be still. To go slow. I wrote 3 books and I've learnt to not measure my worth on doing but far more on being. I've become more gentle and I'm learning to listen more. God has certainly brought purpose to my pain but I too know He isn't for it. It's time. Time for healing. Time for life. It's time. PS: Totally blown away by this gorgeous @christyann.fit gym mat gifted to me by one of my close friends for my birthday!! The mat itself is the most incredible nonslip material and in just in love with the wording - Oh Lord, I BELIEVE!!

I realize this more and more each day... It's the I realize this more and more each day... It's the living that makes writing easy. The more I live, the more I have to write. This week I've woken at 4am every morning. No alarm. Just wide awake. I've known I should be writing and yet simply couldn't get myself to do just that. Tomorrow I begin again. Not begin from scratch but rather intentionally carve out time to write again. I've got my laptop waiting in my office. I've put matches there too so I can light a candle and hopefully be inspired. And I'm counting my blessings for a powerful day today with so many insights - despite frustration with my health and around corruption as I witnessed so many very poor and desperate kids today.
